The DC School Reform Act (also referred to as the SRA) requires DC PCSB to keep schools accountable to their academic goals, so that students can thrive. As part of our oversight work, we conduct a review of public charter LEAs at least every five years.
All students must have up-to-date immunization certification on file with the school within the first 20 school days or they will not be allowed to attend school or school activities until the immunization certification is secured by the school. DC laws and regulations require that any child attending a school or daycare in DC submit a completed Universal Health Certificate and Oral Health Assessment Form annually to demonstrate that all students are receiving the health care they need.
Adult immunizations are critical to helping reduce the spread of vaccine preventable diseases to residents, visitors, and those working in the District. Adult learners ages 18 & up can access free immunizations through the adult immunization program.
