Director, Student Recruitment and Enrollment
What you’ll do…
Student Enrollment and Recruitment Leadership
-
Develop an annual strategic vision and plan to meet enrollment targets across all campuses and partner schools rooted in research and data
-
Lead and project manage the implementation of the annual recruitment plan at the network and school level working across teams including school-based staff, data teams, communications teams to ensure enrollment targets are met network-wide and for each campus
-
Manage and coordinate a diverse team to meet annual enrollment targets including network and school based staff to direct all recruitment and enrollment efforts

Drive and manage campus-based and network recruitment and enrollment efforts and support campuses in attaining goals making real-time adjustments, as necessary
-
Align network and camus resources, as needed, to meet network enrollment goals

Conduct research and analysis of enrollment trends to inform annual recruitment plan

Partner with the Communications team to set annual communications vision aligned to enrollment objectives. Collaborate with communication team to update enrollment webpages, enrollment advertisements, update enrollment forms, communications and templates
Network Enrollment Operations Management

Provide oversight of internal student information systems and compliance reporting functions in state agency information systems, including PowerSchool , OSSE’s SLED, THE BOX; Serve as power user and maintain knowledge of databases

Analyze enrollment data and trends on an ongoing basis to align network and school efforts and staffing to meet enrollment targets

Oversee and direct all campus-based enrollment activity and support campuses in attaining goals

Represent AppleTree at all agency trainings and working groups facilitated by OSSE, MSDC or PCBS; Schedule trainings with applicable agencies for AppleTree staff
-
Build positive working relationships with Family Engagement team, school-based staff and others as needed to support, coordinate and communicate work and workflows related to enrollment

Support schools in implementing their family engagement plans aligned to meeting enrollment objectives

Analyze family engagement/recruitment data and use it to to inform decision making
-
Lead and/or facilitate regular and on-going professional development opportunities for school-based and Central Office staff to build both technical and adaptive skills related to enrollment management

Manage the network-wide enrollment budget
Manage Network Enrollment Policy Development, Implementation and Training

Establish, document and communicate common procedures, guidelines and timelines for enrollment
-
Lead processes to create process documentation and training materials on enrollment policies, procedures and processes
-
Lead and/or facilitate regular and on-going professional development opportunities for school-based and Central Office staff to build both technical and adaptive skills related to enrollment management
-
Represent AppleTree at all agency trainings and working groups facilitated by OSSE, MSDC or PCBS; Schedule trainings with applicable agencies for AppleTree staff
Contribute to a Community of Practice

Demonstrate knowledge and alignment with the AppleTree policies and procedures and relevant governing grant documents.

What we’re looking for…
This role requires a working knowledge of MySchool DC Enrollment processes and related compliance considerations. Additional requirements include:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited four-year college or university, along with a minimum of five to seven years of related experience

Prior experience managing people or enterprise processes in a similar role
-
High proficiency in modern technologies including Excel, G Suite (now Google Workspace), MS Office software, databases and Zoom with a preference for experience in SLED, PowerSchool and MySchool DC
-
Experience in a similar role in a traditional district or charter school is strongly preferred
-
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
-
Demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguity through the use of innovation, problem-solving and good judgment

Exceptional reliability, integrity, and ability to responsibly handle confidential information with discretion

Belief in and commitment to the mission and core values of AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School

Ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems by using sound, professional judgment that consistent with policies, procedures, regulations or federal and state laws

Ability to listen, influence, and execute through others while coordinating across a broad and diverse group of stakeholders

IMPORTANT: Per Mayor’s Order 2021-109, on-site staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All AppleTree on-site staff are required to provide proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 or obtain an approval for exemption due to medical or religious reasons.
