Council, thank you for the opportunity to come before you for re-nomination. I’m Ricarda Ganjam. I would like to thank Mayor Browser for nominating to serve a second term on the Board. I am eager to continue service on DC PCSB. With nearly 50 percent of DC public school students attending a public charter school, it’s rewarding to be a part of a board that supports equity for students and has a commitment to being a leader in supporting public charter schools. I have learned a lot in my first 3 years and look forward to the educational outcomes and access we will be able to offer DC students and families in the years ahead. If one thing has become clear to me it’s that we must think about DC as an ecosystem of schools that exists in DC to support all students, all levels, living in all neighborhoods. More collaboration across the ecosystem is the best way we can truly transform the DC education experience for all students. This volunteer board role is one to which I enjoy bringing my heart, mind, soul, talent, and experience to. I welcome your questions.
