African American Charter School Founders and Leaders are Making a Difference

The DC Public Charter School Board provides oversight to 67 local education agencies (LEAs) or nonprofits. Of the 67 LEAs, 35 are ran by African Americans. These public charter school leaders have diverse backgrounds and experiences, nearly all of them have been in the education sector for more than a decade.
