Notice of Petition to Amend Charter: Expansion – BASIS DC PCS

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) announces an opportunity for the public to submit comment on a request from BASIS DC Public Charter School (PCS) to amend its charter agreement. The school seeks approval to increase its enrollment ceiling and to add kindergarten (K) – 4 to its grades served. In school year (SY) 2025 – 26, the school proposes opening grades K – 4 simultaneously with an initial enrollment of 318 students. Over the next three years, the school plans to increase its enrollment ceiling by 516 to total 1,227 students.
