Antonio (Tony) Williams
Antonio (Tony) Williams leads local government affairs and advocacy for Comcast NBCUniversal, where he works with county and municipal governments to develop practical solutions to complex challenges. Previously, he led their external affairs and partnered with civil rights, consumer, and community organizations to advance free speech, civil rights, and economic inclusion across technology and media.
Mr. Williams helped create Comcast’s Internet Essentials program, the nation’s largest broadband adoption initiative, which connected more than 10 million low-income Americans to high-speed internet. He served as board chair of DC Public Libraries and Washington Leadership Academy and previously chaired Black Tech Futures. He also serves on the board of the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies.
Before joining Comcast, Mr. Williams worked for U.S. Senator Norm Coleman and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He holds a Master’s in Journalism from American University and a bachelor’s degree from Macalester College.
