As the Thanksgiving season swept through DC, public charter schools found countless ways to celebrate. From community feasts to thoughtful expressions of gratitude, students and staff came together to honor the holiday in meaningful ways.

Each November, Native American Heritage Month celebrates the histories, cultures, and contributions of Indigenous peoples in the United States. 

As we shared earlier this school year, the Board will focus each meeting around a central theme that highlights the impact of public charter schools and our work. 

During the My School DC lottery season, parents call schools around the District to ask about their enrollment process. DC PCSB also calls schools, posing as parents, to ensure scholars are not being discriminated against based on their background, abilities, or needs. 

Families have until December 8 to have their students become compliant with their immunizations, or their children could be excluded from school.
