Board Creates New Parent and Alumni Leadership Council

The Parent and Alumni leadership Council (PALC) will advise Board Members, Executive Director, and DC PCSB leadership on policies, issues and topics related to public charter schools.  PALC is comprised of parents that have a student in a DC public charter school or graduates of a DC public charter school. Members of the group will acts as a liaison between DC PCSB and the families of public charter school students and graduates.

PALC meets bi-monthly throughout the school year with Board Members and DC PCSB Leadership. Members live in every Ward of the City and reflect the demographics of public charter school students. This group replaces the Community Advisory Group, also known as CAG. For a list of current members visit, http://www.dcpcsb.org/report/parent-alumni-leadership-council.  

If you’re interested in providing input on policies, new charter school proposals, and other initiatives, please apply to join PALC by sending a cover letter and resume to [email protected].
