DC Public Charter School Board Opens Public Comment on Charter Renewal Guidelines

Washington, D.C. — DC Public Charter School Board (PCSB) is accepting public comment on its 2013-14 Charter Renewal Guidelines for charter schools in their 15thyear of operation that would submit a petition to continue operating.

 

The 2013-14 guidelines outline what schools should submit in their renewal petition, how PCSB will conduct the review process and a timeline for the renewal. Schools should submit renewal applications by October 18, 2013.
 
PCSB opened a public comment period June 10 and will hold a public hearing at its monthly Board meeting on June 24, at 7:00 pm at THEARC Theater, 1901 Mississippi Avenue, SE. The public comment period closes July 9.

To sign up to testify at the public hearing, please contact [email protected] or call PCSB offices at (202) 328-2660 by 3p.m. the day of the hearing to be placed on the witness list and bring ten copies of your testimony to the hearing.
