Graduation Full Rides

August 13, 2025

Each year, graduating seniors prove that with hard work, determination, and the right support, anything is possible.

In 2025, several remarkable students walked across the stage not only with diplomas in hand, but with full-ride scholarships to colleges and universities across the country, turning their dreams of higher education into a reality without the burden of cost.

These full-ride scholarships: awards that cover tuition, room and board, books, are often highly competitive and are given to students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership, community service, or athletic talent. For students from public charter schools in the District, these scholarships reflect years of effort, resilience, and support from their school communities.

DC’s public charter schools serve a diverse student body and are known for offering innovative educational approaches, individualized support, and strong college counseling programs. Many schools begin preparing students for college as early as middle school, with college tours, dual enrollment classes, and mentorship programs. The results speak for themselves: year after year, charter school graduates go on to attend top universities, many on full scholarships.

From Ivy League institutions to top HBCUs, students from DC public charter schools are breaking barriers and proving that zip code does not define destiny. These full-ride scholars are future doctors, engineers, educators, artists, and leaders who are taking the next step toward building a better future for themselves and their communities.

As we celebrate the Class of 2025, we recognize not just the students who earned these scholarships, but the entire support system that helped get them there, families, teachers, advisors, and peers.

Congratulations to these incredible graduates. We can’t wait to see where your journeys take you.
