Melodi Sampson

Chief School Performance Officer

Melodi Sampson leads DC PCSB’s School Performance Department. Her team performs critical school oversight functions, including implementing ASPIRE, DC PCSB’s revised academic accountability system. The School Performance Department conducts charter reviews and renewals, evaluates instructional and environmental quality through site visits, reviews charter applications and school growth requests, monitors school compliance, and assesses programming for students with disabilities and emerging multilingual learners. Before joining DC PCSB in 2013, Ms. Sampson led recruitment, enrollment, and data management efforts at a DC public charter school. Ms. Sampson graduated magna cum laude from both American University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies, and Johns Hopkins University, where she earned a Master of Arts in Public Management.
