Notice of Petition to Amend Charter: Facility Amendment Request – DC Prep PCS

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) announces an opportunity for the public to submit comment on a request from DC Preparatory Academy Public Charter School (DC Prep PCS) to amend its charter agreement to collocate its Anacostia Elementary School (ES) to its Anacostia Middle School (MS). The school submitted its request on March 10, 20251 The school proposes relocating DC Prep PCS – Anacostia ES from 1409 V Street SE to Anacostia MS at 2330 Pomeroy Road SE, beginning in school year (SY) 2025 – 26. In December 2021, DC PCSB approved DC Prep PCS’s phase one plan to relocate the middle school, with the expectation that Anacostia ES would co-locate at the same facility.  Founded in school year 2003, DC Prep PCS educates over 2,100 students in grades pre-kindergarten 3 through 8. The school operates six campuses located in Wards 5, 7, and 8.
