Notice of Petition to Amend Charter: Facility Location – Rocketship DC PCS

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (“PCSB”) announces an opportunity for the public to submit comment on a request to temporarily co-locate its Ward 7 campus at two separate locations, submitted by Rocketship PCS on April 3, 2017.  Under this proposal, the school’s kindergarten through 2nd grade students will be served on the campus of Rocketship Rise Academy at 2335 Reynolds Place SE, while PK-3 and PK-4 students will locate at AppleTrees PCS’s Oklahoma Avenue site at 330 21st St NE.  The PK3 and PK4 students will remain at the Oklahoma Ave site for the entirety of School Year 2017-18 and move to Rocketship DC PCS’s permanent site the following school year, while the kindergarten through 2nd grade students will move to the permanent campus once construction is completed, midyear during the 2017-18 school year.
