Notice of Petition to Amend Charter: Grades Served, Facility – Cedar Tree PCS

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) announces an opportunity for the public to submit comment on a request from Cedar Tree Academy Public Charter School (Cedar Tree PCS) to amend its charter agreement by expanding its grades served and opening a new facility. The school submitted its request on March 27, 2025.1 The school seeks to expand grades served from prekindergarten (PK) 3 – 2 to PK3 – 5. To accommodate this expansion, Cedar Tree PCS proposes building a new facility on its current lot. Currently in its 25th year of operation, Cedar Tree PCS educates 399 students at a single facility located at 701 Howard Road SE in Ward 8.
