Public Comment

Public hearings are held for DC PCSB's policies and required for proposals to open a new school and when a school requests to amend its charter agreement, including a:

  • Change in the mission, goals, academic expectations, and governance structure

  • Change in the grades served

  • Change in enrollment 

  • Change in location of the school or to add an additional facility/campus

How to Submit Public Comments

The public is encouraged to comment on proposed policies, new charter school applications, requests to change charter agreements,  and any other Board Meeting agenda items. To ensure your comments are processed and reviewed, identify the "name of the school or topic" and please use one of the below ways (please select only one). DC PCSB accepts written comment until 11:59 p.m. the day before the meeting.

Public Comment

Important:  All written comments will be made available to the public.  Comments sent by email, postal mail or hand-delivered/courier will be posted in the general comment link. Individuals testifying at a public meeting can read their testimony in the meeting transcript. (See Board Meeting Materials.) 

We do not edit personal identifying information from submissions.  Please submit only information that you wish to make available to the public.
