DC Public Charter School Board Website Redesign Request for Proposal (RFP)

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) seeks proposals from individuals and organizations that are experienced in providing and/or redesigning the DC PCSB website (www.dcDC PCSB.org) to improve user experience, navigation, accessibility, and realign and redesign relevant content for our diverse audiences of families, students, educators, and community members. The improved site should reflect DC DC PCSB’s mission, vision, and brand. Designing new school pages that incorporate (and automate updates of) school evaluation data, scores, and Levels (ASPIRE) while enhancing overall functionality, usability, and ADA compliance.

2017 Summer Programming Opportunities

More than a dozen public charter schools will offer enrichment, credit recovery and summer bridge programming  this summer.  Here is a partial listing of programs, please contact the school to learn more.  

  • Bridges PCS – A summer program is open to current Bridges PCS students from June 26 – July 21.
  • Capital City PCS – A summer program will be offered for current Capital City PCS PK - 6 grade students from July 5 – July 28; all 9th graders will also participate in New Student Orientation during this period for four hours each day (Mon-Fri).
  • Center City PCS – The school’s Summer Academy for current students will be held at three campuses: Brightwood, Congress Heights, and Shaw from June 26 – July 21.
  • Community College Prep PCS – The school will offer Microsoft certification training and certification.
  • DC Bilingual PCS – Kids and Culture Camp will be offered for all DC students at two locations (DC Bilingual PCS and Shining Stars PCS) from June 26 – July 21.
  • LAMB PCS – A four-week summer program will be offered to current LAMB PCS students.
  • Mundo Verde PCS – A four-week summer program will be offered for current Mundo Verde PCS students.
  • SEED DC PCS – A STEAM summer camp will be offered for current middle school students at SEED DC PCS.
  • Shining Stars PCS – Kids and Culture Camp will be offered to all DC students at two locations (DC Bilingual PCS and Shining Stars PCS) from June 26 – July 21.
  • Washington Latin PCS – A summer program will be offered to current Washington Latin PCS students.
  • DC Prep PCS – A summer program will be offered to current DC Prep PCS students from July 10 – 28.

The following schools offer extended school year programs: 

  • Bridges PCS – The school will offer an extended school year program for its students who’s IEP’s require summer classes.
  • Children’s Guild DC PCS – The school will offer an extended school year summer program for its current students to build on critical academic skills and academic goals.
  • Capital City PCS – The school will offer extended summer school for its current 5-12 grade students who are required to make up coursework or whose IEP’s require summer classes.
  • Community College Prep PCS - The school has a year-round schooling schedule.
  • Early Childhood Academy PCS –  The school is moving to a year-round schooling schedule from August 1, 2017 through June 29, 2018 with intersessions throughout the year. The school will no longer offer summer programming.  
  • Maya Angelou PCS – The school offers extended school year for its current students.
  • Meridian PCS – The school will offer extended school year for its current students.  
  • Perry Street Prep PCS – The school will offer extended school year for its current students.
