This year, six DC Public Charter Schools were honored as “Bold Improvement” schools, based on an analysis conducted by EmPowerK12 and Education Reform Now.

Schools receiving the award have the highest percentage of at-risk students and the most academic growth for these students. Students are considered at-risk when their families are eligible for SNAP or TANF, or are in foster care or homeless.

The six “Bold Improvement” public charter schools are:

  • Center City - Congress Heights PCS

  • KIPP Heights PCS

  • KIPP Promise PCS

  • KIPP Valor PCS

  • Perry Street Prep PCS

  • Washington Leadership PCS

Moreover, these schools are rated either Tier 1 or high Tier 2 on our 2018 School Quality Report.

We’re very #DCcharterProud of the six “Bold Improvement” Public Charter Schools!
