Charter School Board to Consider New School-Based Policies

Washington, D.C. — The DC Public Charter School Board (PCSB) will consider the following policies at a public hearing during its next monthly meeting on Monday, April 23, 2012. The policies are: Charter Amendment Policy; Attendance and Discipline Data Policy, and Revisions to the Performance Management Framework Guidelines. The policies may be reviewed on the PCSB website at http://www.dcpubliccharter.com/About-the-Board/Proposed-Board-Policies.aspx or call to request a copy. These policies will help strengthen the PCSB’s oversight responsibilities.
Interested parties will have until April 23, 2012 to provide written comments to the PCSB or register to provide oral comments at the April 23, 2012 Public Hearing. The hearing will take place at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School, 1100 Harvard Street, NW, Washington, DC at 7:00pm. Individuals who wish to comment should call the Board’s office at (202) 328-2660 by 3:00pm on the day of the hearing to be placed on the schedule.
