In an effort to tackle disparities in public education, the Public Charter School Board (PCSB) released a joint report with other education agencies that provides parents and stakeholders useful, publicly accessible information about how the District is performing on several factors.  The release of this information is timely because parents can use the individual public charter school reports, available here, to make a more informed decision as they select schools for their student using MySchoolDC, the common lottery.

The Board hopes the reports will increase transparency, highlight the areas of growth and achievement and dispels some of the myths about public charter schools.

Here's how public charter schools compared to the city's average:

The 2014 School Equity Reports describe how the District is performing on a variety of measures of educational equity, including attendance, discipline, student movement, and academic growth.
