DC PCSB Policy Revisions: Elect to Adopt the Performance Management Framework as Goals Policy

March 30, 2017

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board announces an opportunity for the public to submit comment on revisions to the Elect to Adopt the Performance Management Framework as Goals Policy. Key revisions:

  • Require schools to obtain an average PMF score for the previous five years at each charter review, and at charter renewal;
  • Require schools to obtain an average PMF score of at least 40% in the first four years, rather than earning at least 40% of the possible PMF points in at least two of the most recent three years prior to five-year charter review; and
  • Require schools to obtain an average PMF score of at least 45% in the five years prior to ten-year charter review, rather than earning at least 50% of the possible PMF points in at least two of the most recent three years prior to ten-year charter review; and
  • Require schools to obtain an average PMF score of at least 50% in the five years prior to charter renewal and every review thereafter, rather than earning at least 55% of the possible PMF points in at least two of the most recent three years prior to charter renewal and every review thereafter.

The vote was held on Monday, March 20, 2017. NOTE: The vote will take effect pending no additional public comment received after March 20 and before March 30, 2017.
