Democracy Prep PCS to Close

In December 2018, the Board voted to start revocation proceedings on Democracy Prep PCS because the school failed to meet its five-year charter goals.  In a letter to families the Democracy Prep Board of Trustees’ told families they will relinquish the charter on June 30, 2019. 

Democracy Prep PCS will continue to educate its students until the end of the current academic school year, at which point it will close. To help transition families, DC PCSB’s enrollment specialists will meet one-on-one with families to discuss available school options and help families use My School DC, the common lottery.
