Dwight Davis

Board Member
A native Washingtonian, Mr. Davis taught and was a leader in DC Public Schools for almost two decades, where he served children and families as a fifth-grade teacher, English and language arts coach, assistant principal, and principal. Hugh M. Browne Education Campus, which Mr. Davis led for four years, received high honors from DCPS in 2021. Mr. Davis currently serves as a partner at CityBridge Foundation, a public charity that invests in creating new and better educational models for public schools in Washington, DC. Before beginning his teaching career, Mr. Davis played both professional and semi-professional basketball in the United States and abroad. Mr. Davis holds a bachelor’s degree from Albright College in Reading, PA and a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts from Princeton Theological Seminary. He also has a certificate in Reading and Literacy from George Washington University and a certificate in Leadership from Georgetown University. He expects to receive his Doctor of Education degree from American University in May 2026.
