DC Public Charter School Board Website Redesign Request for Proposal (RFP)

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) seeks proposals from individuals and organizations that are experienced in providing and/or redesigning the DC PCSB website (www.dcDC PCSB.org) to improve user experience, navigation, accessibility, and realign and redesign relevant content for our diverse audiences of families, students, educators, and community members. The improved site should reflect DC DC PCSB’s mission, vision, and brand. Designing new school pages that incorporate (and automate updates of) school evaluation data, scores, and Levels (ASPIRE) while enhancing overall functionality, usability, and ADA compliance.

Four Public Charter Schools Open New Programs and Cut Ribbon on New School Buildings

DC Scholars, Creative Minds and Paul PCS celebrated the opening of their newly renovated schools and IDEA PCS opened a new career and technical program.

Below is some information on each new facility and program:

  • IDEA PCS and DC Students Construction Trades Foundation opened a new career and technical education training facility for high school students.  Students will take construction classes and learn architecture design. 
  • DC Scholars PCS opened their newly renovated 72,100 square foot facility at their Northeast campus. The building includes 28 modernized classrooms (6 PS-PK; 22 K-8), 30 seat computer lab, parent resource room, multipurpose room with four basketball hoops and a stage, fully modernized building systems designed to fit US Green Building Council LEED Gold standards and two wheelchair lifts for full ADA access. 
  • Creative Minds PCS opened a new campus at the 68,000 sq ft Sherman Building in Ward 5. This school will expand to serve grades PK3-6 in the 2016-17 school year. 
  • Paul PCS officially opened its building that features a state of the art gym, auxiliary gym, walking track, dance and art studio and library/media center.
