On April 11, DC PCSB's Parent and Alumni Leadership Council held a panel discussion about the current charter school landscape, the application process and the two new charter school proposals.  The panel consisted of DC PCSB staff including Executive Director Scott Pearson.

We received two new charter school proposals from applicant groups seeking to open schools in Washington, DC. If approved, the public charter schools would open in the 2017-18 school year. As part of the process, DC PCSB staff reviews each application, conducts a capacity interview, and, if applicable, visits existing schools run by the applicant group.

We will also accept written comments on the proposals until April 21 and the public is encouraged to sign up to speak at the public hearing on April 18 at 6 p.m. at Carlos Rosario International PCS (1100 Harvard St NW). Learn more about the new charter school proposals here.

If you were unable to attend, you can view the Charter Application Townhall below.

DC PCSB's Parent Alumni Leadership Council (PALC) hosted a Charter Application Townhall to discuss the application process and the proposed new charter schools.
