DC Public Charter School Board Website Redesign Request for Proposal (RFP)

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) seeks proposals from individuals and organizations that are experienced in providing and/or redesigning the DC PCSB website (www.dcDC PCSB.org) to improve user experience, navigation, accessibility, and realign and redesign relevant content for our diverse audiences of families, students, educators, and community members. The improved site should reflect DC DC PCSB’s mission, vision, and brand. Designing new school pages that incorporate (and automate updates of) school evaluation data, scores, and Levels (ASPIRE) while enhancing overall functionality, usability, and ADA compliance.

Perry Street Prep serves 400+ PreK, elementary and middle school students in Northeast DC. ABOUT THE POSITION
POSITION TITLE: Lunch and Recess Aide
STATUS: Part-time (22.5 hours per week), Non-exempt
REPORTS TO: Assistant Principals

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of office experience, preferably in a
school environment. Must be able to communicate effectively with diverse individuals and
to calmly and efficiently manage situations ranging from routine to emergency.

DUTIES:
• Assists in directing students to and from the cafeteria
• Performs general housekeeping in the cafeteria and assists cafeteria staff with any
other necessary duties
• Circulates among students and attempts to resolve minor problems as they arise
• Supervises students and maintain a cooperative atmosphere during the lunch and
recess periods
• Establishes and maintains a safe environment during recess
• Assists in organizing various play activities and games as provided by building
administration and/or PE teachers
• Supervises the dismissal of students from the playground
• Informs building administration immediately of any serious disciplinary problems
• Questions any non-school visitors and refer them to the main office to sign in
• Keeps building administration informed of any safety concerns
• Performs any other duties or responsibilities as designated by School Administration
Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Position involves working both indoors (cafeteria) and outdoors (playground, fields) in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to move quickly to respond to incidents.
May need to lift items up to 25 pounds (e.g., lunch trays, playground equipment).

WORK HOURS & HOURLY RATE: Work hours are Monday - Friday, 9:30am to 2pm. Work hours may vary from time to time depending on school events. Hourly pay rate is $27-$30/hr.

CLEARANCES: Criminal background clearance including fingerprinting.
