DC Public Charter School Board Website Redesign Request for Proposal (RFP)

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (DC PCSB) seeks proposals from individuals and organizations that are experienced in providing and/or redesigning the DC PCSB website (www.dcDC PCSB.org) to improve user experience, navigation, accessibility, and realign and redesign relevant content for our diverse audiences of families, students, educators, and community members. The improved site should reflect DC DC PCSB’s mission, vision, and brand. Designing new school pages that incorporate (and automate updates of) school evaluation data, scores, and Levels (ASPIRE) while enhancing overall functionality, usability, and ADA compliance.

Physical Education Teacher, Elementary

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are seeking a Physical Education Teacher to work with elementary students in a DC Publc Charter School for the 2025-26 school year. All teaching positions are full-time, salaried, 10-month positions.

Teachers are responsible for the following:
Collaborating with colleagues in developing cohesive Common Core-aligned curriculum materials, integrating instructional resources, and establishing instructional goals
Preparing standards-based lessons that challenge students’ critical thinking
Utilizing strong content knowledge to effectively present enticing and rigorous Common Core-aligned lessons
Differentiating instruction to accommodate multiple learning styles and abilities
Assessing students’ academic and developmental growth through observation and a variety of assessment methods
Tracking and monitor assessment results in order to regularly refine teaching practices and design differentiated lesson plans
Applying the values of urgency, rigor, and consistency to create a positive learning environment that promotes high expectations
Communicating with students, parents, school staff to ensure that students are on-track in their learning and making progress towards goals
Establish and implement effective classroom management procedures, and maintain productive, safe, and focused learning environment
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates will have the following education and experience:
Bachelor’s degree required. Concentration or advanced degree in education preferred.
Meet the appropriate grade level and subject area requirements to be deemed a Highly Qualified Teacher (HQT) under the No Child Left Behind Act.
Two or more years of teaching experience as an elementary teacher in an urban environment with a strong record of student achievement preferred.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Teachers and staff are compensated competitively, based on level of education and years of experience.
