Mayor’s Speech Highlights Education Success in DC

Mayor Gray called for providing a “successful and sustainable” system of high-quality education in a speech at Savoy Elementary School, which shares a gymnasium with Thurgood Marshall Academy, a charter school.   

Public education is thriving in DC and charters are a part of that success. We have met the challenge of serving diverse student needs while demanding higher academic results.  It’s because of our success more and more DC families choose charter schools every year.
