National School Choice Week 2019

National School Choice Week is here! The commemorative week is scheduled for January 20 – 26, 2019 and we're excited to celebrate all the diverse school options available in Washington, DC!

Throughout the week, we will highlight the great work of the 123 public charter schools in the district through our multimedia platforms (e.g., Twitter, Facebook, Instagram).

We will highlight the following themes:

  • Monday, January 21 - MLK Holiday. We'll honor the work and memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
  • Tuesday, January 22 - Creative School Programs. Lots of public charter schools offer innovative programs, we want to highlight those programs. 
  • Wednesday, January 23 - Ode to our Educators! And we can't forget about the get educators.  
  • Thursday, January 24 - Share your Tier Status! We'll celebrate the top ranking schools and their achievements.
  • Friday, January 25 - Celebrating Families! Schools are communities made up of great teachers, students and wonderful families.
