Notice of Public Hearing on Facility – Breakthrough Montessori PCS

April 18, 2016

The District of Columbia Public Charter School Board (“DC PCSB”) announces an opportunity for the public to comment on the proposed facility location submitted by Breakthrough Montessori Public Charter School (“BM PCS”) at 1244 Taylor Street, NW, Washington, DC 20011.

BM PCS applied for a charter and was conditionally approved by DC PCSB on May 18, 2015.  Pending it’s full charter approval, BM PCS will open in SY ’16-’17 and with a “fully implemented Montessori program” that “enables students to develop within themselves the power to shape their lives and the world around them.”  DC PCSB will be voting on its March 22, 2016 Board Meeting whether the school will expand to serve students in grades Pk3- sixth (they are conditionally approved to serve Pk3-K).
