PCSB has scheduled a public hearing on Booker T. Washington PCS' 15-year charter renewal at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, January 14 at the school (1346 Florida Ave NW, Washington DC 20009).

Every DC charter school operates under a charter, which is granted for 15 years. Near the end of that term, a school must apply to renew their charter, and in its application, the school must show that it has accomplished what it pledged to do in its charter. There are seven schools this year that will undergo charter renewal. (Read more about the process in the 15-year Charter Renewal FAQ here).

The Board's regularly scheduled monthly board meeting will be held on Wednesday January  22 at 7:30 p.m. For more information on all of these meetings, including how to sign up to testify, please contact Isoken Igodan at 202-328-2660 or [email protected].

Hearing will be held on January 14 at 6 p.m. at the school.
