It’s National Charter Schools Week and we’re celebrating the more than 44,000 public charter school students in DC. National Charter Schools Week exists to celebrate public charter schools, the quality and tuition-free public-schools that nearly 3.6 million students throughout the United States depend on for an excellent education.
In recognition of our movement's history and future, this year's theme is: Charter Schools Rising. “As we celebrate tremendous success in the public charter school sector, we are humbled by the remarkable work of public charter school educators and leaders in an unprecedented year for education,” said DC Public Charter School Board Executive Director, Dr. Michelle J. Walker-Davis.
