Shining Stars PCS Achieves AMS Accreditation

In February, Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS achieved the prestigious American Montessori Sociey Accreditation (AMS). Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS is the only public Montessori school in Washington, DC to achieve the designation. 

"We have been determined to stay true to authentic Montessori practices, and have ensured that all of our guides [teachers] are Montessori-certified," said Regina Rodriguez, Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS' Executive Director, in a press release. "Our children are thriving, our staff are passionate about their work, and our parents are happily engaged. AMS accreditation is icing on the cake," she added.
