Travis Hartberger

Manager, School Equity and Effectiveness

Travis Hartberger manages the Qualitative Site Review (QSR) process. Mr. Hartberger has served the DC education community for over 15 years starting as a DC Teaching Fellow. He has taught science/mathematics and led teaching teams at four District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS), serving students from every ward in the District and earning Expert Teacher status through DCPS’s rigorous IMPACT evaluation program. He has participated in a number of fellowships to grow his pedagogical knowledge and capacity as a teacher leader. Mr. Hartberger has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Virginia as well as a Master of Art in Teaching (MAT) from American University. He is currently working on a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Curriculum and Instruction, specializing in Educational Innovation at the University of Virginia.
