Description:

Enacts changes to the training and curriculum for school-based personnel in regard to suicide prevention.
Requires the Office of the State Superintendent for Education (OSSE) to adopt a rule requiring all school-based personal of each Local Education Agency (LEA) to undergo at least two hours of suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention training each year.
Requires OSSE to develop and publish a model suicide prevention, intervention, and postvention policy. It also requires OSSE to develop research-based school climate surveys, and publish certain reports submitted by LEAs.
