Position Summary:
Shining Stars Montessori Academy PCS is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to work closely with the Principal and senior administrators regarding student and school-wide data.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities
The SSMA Assessment Coordinator/Data Analyst is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and analyzing student assessments for students.
Schedule individual accommodations for students who previously missed an exam while absent.
Ensure that all student accommodations are met.
Required Competencies & Qualifications:
Expertise and experience with instructional best practices for ELLs
A passion for growing independent, confident and intellectually curious children
Ability to provide services to all children and families with respect and dignity
Demonstrated ability to work successfully with multi-aged students, staff and a multicultural community
Ability to develop and implement appropriate positive behavior interventions for students
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent written and oral skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google Docs
A sense of humor and a love of children
Scheduling Assessments
Identify accepted assessments within the calendar year and appropriately schedule testing blocks.
Determine students and accommodations with other Directors, such as Special Education and ELL
Work closely with and distribute assessments to the assigned assessment Proctor(s).
Troubleshoots scheduling issues as needed.
Administering Assessments
Administers exams as needed (if all proctors are unable), including but not limited to: state tests, unit exams, quizzes, make-up tests.
Assist students with understanding testing requirements, procedures, and protocols.
Documents and records any testing irregularities and reports to the Principal
Troubleshoots issues with testing software and hardware, including but not limited to: Powerschool, headphones, Chromebooks.
Preparing for Assessments
Uploads all modified and non-modified tests into Hub or Qlik.
Maintains hardware for testing (accommodation bags, chromebooks, etc.).
Ensures all students with pull-out testing accommodations are present.
Communicates with Proctors to ensure all needs are met.
Analyze Assessment Data
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Arts required, Masters degree preferred.
Technology competence in EXCEL, WORD, QLIK, POWERSCHOOL

Compensation:
Salary is competitive and commensurate with education and prior experience. In addition, a comprehensive benefits package is included.
